The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.
Abridged.
Theatre is a medium in which ideas and stories can transform our reality and impact how we live our world. Som etheatre has the potential to not only entertain, but to shape and transform our culture. And then there are shows like "The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)."
Complete Works uses Shakespeare's subtle psychological insight and well-honed social satire; but more often than not it manages to skip right to the sex and killing. Complete Works is a roller coaster ride of pure entertainment; incorporating sword fighting, true romance, love, revenge, cross-dressing, and buckets of blood. If sir Lawrence Olivier and Robin Williams somehow had a love child, their spawn would be this very show.
Jesse Reagan, Shane Regan, and Brandon Ryan bring the genius of every Shakespeare play (and sonnet) to life with an arrangement of wigs, costume pieces, and a very limited understanding of basic literary skills.

Nigel Andrews of Seattle Theatre Scene:
This is a fantastically fun production to see and experience and even participate in. Enjoy the couches and the wacky fun of the show! READ MORE...

great production! i've seen the show before, and i enjoyed it all the more for it, but of course the show is even more hilarious if this is your first exposure to "complete works."
all three guys are hilarious. brandon ryan's antics before the show had me trying to hide my laughter behind my program (which is also quite amusing). shane regan is adorable and wonderful as he tries to reign brandon in and generally fails, and jesse reagan does all he can to stay ahead of his energetic partners (watch for his priceless polonius in hamlet).
some highlights:
+brandon's balcony scene from romeo and juliet. oh wow.
+the comedies as a powerpoint presentation. GOOD CALL GUYS.
+"can't you give us a scarier cue than that?"
+romeo and juliet meets fight club! yeah!
+the amazing music. i especially loved 2001:a space odyssey and the super mario brothers theme
+the hamlet skull wearing brandon's sunglasses.
+how many bad wigs can be in one show?
+three guys wearing tights and lace! haha. oh the manliness.
amazing production with three fantastic performers.
Kelli Tracy from Seattle Performs:
Im sure there are a million ways to say 'amazing' in about a million different languages..but in this case, they all apply. this production was not only incredably hilarious, but was entertaining the entire time! i have only seen a couple productions at this theatre but this was easily my favorite! they keep you coming back for more of the magic!
the talent is immense, the couches are comfy, and the atmosphere is so inviting! i definitly recomend that you stop by!

Hamlet followed an overlong, unnecessary intermission (dudes, if it's only ninety minutes, let's just plow through it), and included forced audience interaction. We *hate* it when audience involvement is thrust upon us; look, if we wanted to be in a play, we'd act, not just write snarky reviews.
